"It was a mountainscape born in the mind of a wild painter. The artist had dipped his brush in all the colours of his palette. Lilac, mauve, purple, grey, rust and burnt sienna mountain slopes spread across the land. Stark and dry as it was, it was captivatingly beautiful. For a few moments, I felt a mounting excitement in the pit of my stomach and awaited the free fall of the Land Cruiser, as I anticipated it dropping off the face of the earth. I was stunned into pointing at nothingness and could only say, 'Look!'"
