Paris Movie Walks Earns Honorable Mention from ForeWord Reviews2009 Book of the Year winners announced at BookExpo America.Branford, Conn. – Paris Movie Walks, by Michael Schürmann, received an Honorable Mention in the Travel Guide category for ForeWord Reviews’ 2009 Book of the Year Awards. The announcement was made in conjunction with BookExpo America in New York City May 26. Paris Movie Walks was among 201 winners in 60 categories and selected from 1,400 entries. ForeWord Reviews’ Book of the Year Awards was established to highlight the literary and graphics achievements of independent publishers and their authors. The winners were determined by a panel of ForeWord staff and librarians and booksellers selected from ForeWord’s readership. Criteria were based on their own acquisition standards, including editorial excellence, intent of book met by author, originality of subject matter, accuracy, author credentials, and professional packaging. BookExpo America drew more than 30,000 publishers, booksellers, authors, librarians, agents and publicists to its annual convention, which showcased approximately 500 authors and 1,500 exhibitors. The event was highlighted by appearances by Barbra Streisand, Sarah Ferguson, Jon Stewart, Condoleezza Rice and John Grisham. Published by The Intrepid Traveler, Paris Movie Walks takes the reader through 10 guided tours that point out sites and neighborhoods from more than 200 films, from well-known Hollywood favorites to top action films to art house releases. The book lets travelers to see Paris in a new light, appealing to those who love everything French, as well as movie buffs.
