Irish B&Bs can vary widely, from modest suburban homes, to substantial Georgian farm houses, to historic buildings converted to new uses.

On our 2004 trip to Ireland we were able to sample, without really trying, what seemed to be a representative cross-section of what you can expect if you embark on a similar journey.

I hope the following brief comments will help convince you to book a fly/drive holiday in Ireland sometime soon. If you read them in order, you will retrace our route through Ireland -- perhaps not the best itinerary but one that suited us just fine.
